I wanted to share two pieces I recently wrote for the Foreign Policy Association, a 100-year-old “non-partisan not-for-profit [that] has striven to foster awareness, understanding, and informed opinion on U.S. foreign policy and global issues.” So far, the feedback has been very positive: it was quite the project to tackle such big topics, but tailoring the writing for the FPA’s Great Decisions program — geared toward a high school audience — was enormously instructive.

There are a number of fabulous writing projects on the horizon, and I can’t wait to fill you in when the time comes!
In the meanwhile, I’ll leave you with a beautiful quote referenced in Krista Tippett’s On Being newsletter, The Pause, quoting poet William Stafford’s “Vocation”: “Your job is to figure out what the world is trying to be.”
Beautiful quote, I liked it. I will definitely read your article on China and Taiwan later.
Wonderful to see this Allison! And beautiful quote. Great to keep up with you and your writing. I always look forward to reading anything from your brilliant mind. Hugs, Sandy
